Bloomsburg Drops Pair to West Chester in Baseball

WEST CHESTER —The Bloomsburg University baseball team dropped a pair of games to West Chester in college baseball action on Friday. The Huskies lost the opener 6-0 and 10-1 in the nightcap.

In game one, the Huskies managed just two hits from Matt Robinson (York/Red Lion). Chase Phillips (Milton/Milton) took the loss going the distance.

In game two, the Golden Rams scored eight times in the top of the first inning on their way to the win. Bloomsburg's only came in the fourth inning when Vinny James (Philadelphia/Bristol) hit a fielder's choice ground out scoring Robinson.

The Huskies fall to 18-23, 8-10 in the PSAC East, with the losses. Bloomsburg hosts West Chester on Saturday in the season-finale.
