EAST STROUDSBURG —Brian Martin and Brian Zorger knocked in two runs each and Mike Rakoczy threw a complete game to lead Bloomsburg to a 6-1 win over East Stroudsburg in the opening game of the season-ending twinbill. The Warriors came back and won game two, 7-1, to end the Huskies season at 24-24.

In game one the Huskies got a great pitching performance from Mike Rakoczy who threw a four-hitter and allowed just one run in picking up his fifth win of the season. Rakoczy walked two and struck out one in the game.

The Huskies took a 1-0 lead in the first when Brian Sperling walked with two outs and came home a double by Brian Zorger. Bloomsburg made it 2-0 in fourth when Jason Helcoski doubled and came home on a single by Jeremy Arner. Zorger doubled homer another run in the fifth, while Larry Piccini singled home a run in the sixth. In the seventh with the Huskies leading 4-1, they put the game away on a two-run, bases loaded single by Brian Martin.

In game two, Bloomsburg scored first when Brian Sperling doubled following a Chris Husted walk. The Warriors then scored three times in the first and two more in the third to cruise to the win. Ryan Hatfield had the big hit in inning as he slammed a two-run homer. In the third, East Stroudsburg Bryan Yagel and Jeff Dahl had RBI singles for the to make it a 5-1 game. The Warriors added single runs in both the fourth and fifth to make the final 7-1.

Bloomsburg ends its season at 24-24, 8-16 in the PSAC East with the split. East Stroudsburg ends it season at 20-29-1, 8-16 in the PSAC.
