We want your college education to be comprehensive, enjoyable and affordable. Bloomsburg University is committed to assisting you in accessing effective financial aid resources and helping you financially plan your education for long-term success.

Winter Term

Students should be aware that there is no separate disbursement of financial aid for the winter session. Credits taken during the winter session are combined with spring credits to determine eligibility and any aid awarded for the winter and spring sessions will be disbursed during the spring semester. Please note that if a student applies for a federal direct or PLUS loan for the winter and spring sessions, the student must be enrolled during the spring semester to be eligible. Students who enroll during the winter session and are not eligible for federal aid may still apply for an alternative student loan to assist with these costs. Students who wish to apply for winter financial aid should schedule an appointment with Financial Aid Staff once they have scheduled winter courses.

FAFSA 2014-2015

If you plan to be enrolled in degree program at Bloomsburg University in the 2014-2015 academic year (Summer 2014, Fall 2014, or Spring 2015 Semesters) and require financial aid, please remember to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2014-2015 academic year if you have not already done so. The FAFSA may be completed online at www.bloomu.edu/aid/fafsa_app. The FAFSA is required to process all forms of financial aid including grants, loans, and work-study.

REMEMBER, IF YOU ARE A PENNSLYVANIA RESIDENT AND ENROLLED AS AN UNDERGRADUATE, THE FAFSA MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO MAY 1, 2014 FOR YOU TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A PHEAA STATE GRANT.

Loan Exit Counseling Requirement

Are you graduating this semester or have you dropped to less than half-time enrollment? If so and you have borrowed a federal loan (Stafford, Direct Student, and/or GradPLUS) you must complete loan exit counseling online. Get more details on loan repayment and options.
