Financial Aid

We want your Bloomsburg University education to be comprehensive, enjoyable and affordable. The university is committed to assisting you in obtaining the resources and helping you financially plan your education.
Current Issues
Submit 2013-2014 FAFSA
If you are attending in the 2013-2014 academic year (Summer 2013, Fall 2013, Spring 2014) and wish to receive financial aid, you must submit the 2013-2014 FAFSA. Pennsylvania residents must submit the application by May 1, 2013 to be considered for PHEAA State Grant. Get more information online.
Important Information for Students Enrolling in the Summer 2013 Session
The spring semester ends on Friday May 17 and the first summer sessions (Session 1 and Session 2) begin on Monday May 20. For returning students wishing to apply for financial aid for the summer session, please note that aid will not be processed until after the spring grades have been posted on Thursday May 23. Consequently students attending the first summer sessions should be prepared to purchase their books when classes begin. If the summer financial aid exceeds summer costs a refund will be generated for reimbursement of these purchases. Please see http://www.bloomu.edu/aid/availability as to when refunds will be available. For additional information regarding summer financial aid go to http://www.bloomu.edu/aid/guide/summer.
Loan Counseling Requirement for May Graduates
If you are graduating this semester and have borrowed a federal loan (Stafford, Direct Student, and/or GradPLUS) you must complete loan exit counseling online. Get more information on loan repayment and options.
